I'm gonna have to for this post 😧😒

A lesser know part of my 'Year of New' was my decision to grow my hair. Not just on my head, but some sort of beard as well. It all started when I read an article about Native American scouts during WW2*. True story or not.... it struck a chord. Especially with my interest in Native American culture and religion.

Oh... plus I'm a HUGE assed fan of 80's 'Hair Metal'.

And then, add into the mix.... Movember.

I started growing a 'mo' for Movember in 2017, more for support of the cause than anything. I also let loose a goatee to even things out. Now.... being 48, it also had a fair bit of grey as well. And this got me REALLY tapping into my roots.

Their's Viking blood in them thar veins. And according to Viking belief, only the 'Greybeard' made it to old age. And with old age, supposedly, comes wisdom. So theoretically... I'm both old AND wise....

So..... about 6 months in to growing my hair... I'm not really feeling more 'in touch' with my spiritual side as yet, or any wiser, but I'm saving a shitload on razorblades 😁 And wise or not, I'm guessing in another 6 months I'll be also able to slot in some kick-ass beads as well.
