Fifty things @ 50....

My #yearofnew has been a clusterfuck, lets face it.

Losing my liscence for six months put a biiiig damper on plans and possibilities. A lack of a car I could handle as I've still got Phoenix, but having no liscence at all for six months....? THAT kinda harshed my calm.... big time!

For the local journeys (work, shopping, beer etc) I ended up buying a rear rack and putting my old motorbike panniers on my Chopper pushbike Brandy. Medium journeys for Community Service or with Jess were sorted by getting bus passes or sliding my eldest boy Jake the occasional $10 fuel money, but anything requiring more distance or logistical planning.... forget it. Normally I enjoy the logistics side of things, but my mental state just wasn't up to it.

And I'm pretty sure the HUGE hole left in my life by not being able to jump on Phoenix whenever I wanted to, and not being able to 'let loose and unwind' was a factor that lead to my mini break down of just a few short weeks ago.

All you motorbike riders will understand.

Eight weeks to go til I get my liscence back.... fuck I can't wait!

BUT I digress.... 

Today I turn 49. I'm now entering my 50th year on this earth.... so why not pump up the #yearofnew and make it #fiftythings@50? Over the next twelve months, from the 1st of October I'm gonna try and do either FIFTY new things, or things I've done/enjoyed in the past but let slide over the years.

And yes.... I realise the fact that there are only 52 weeks in a year, but I'm guessing/thinking/hoping I can bowl over multiple 'things' from time to time.

I'll probably have to add more over time, and I'll strikethrough the ones I do as I do them (for those keeping track). And I'll probably post each one up on my personal FB Wulfe Ryder and on my FB WulfePak-Productions page.

Of course, in the spirit of the #yearofnew, many of the following will HOPEFULLY become a part of 'me' as a whole.

So.... on with the list -

1 - Get back into drawing
2 - Learn how to actually, properly, play the guitar and ukulele
3 - Make amends with my Sister and Mother (The old man can still go fuck himself!!)
4 - Try some illicit drugs, just once.
5 - Get out camping/bush more
6 - Earth Frequency Festival in Feb
7 - Get healthier, not just fitter
8 - Take Lauren (my ex gf, but still a great friend) somewhere nice
9 - Do more fire twirling
10 - Get to Cabo San Lucas (although looking highly unlikely at this stage 😩)
11 - Take Jake, Kait and Jess out camping
12 - Learn more about bush tucker edibles
13 - Become more.... Zen/Centred/At one. Become more like the Warrior/Sage I USED to be.
14 - Start writing more.
15 - Tell/show my kids I love them more. 
16 - Do Tai Chi
17 - Build a 'Deadpool' bike with/for Jess
18 - Stickerbomb a 3/4 guitar.
19 - Oz Comic-Con
20 - De-clutter. I got ENTIRELY too much shit
21 - Write a Last Will and Testament
22 - Ride a LOT more. And not just 'commuting' but REAL Adventure Touring again!
23 - Do Yoga with Jay Be
24 - Make a REAL effort to catch up with old friends, both those in real life and those on-line
25 - Do more archery
26 - Look into writing more reviews.
27 - Learn/re-learn more survival techniques 
28 - Maybe start hiking again
30 - Oooooh and exploring
31 - Check out some of the WW2 I uncovered/discovered/found during my 'Doing A Line' research
32 - Stickerbomb something for Jess out of the Marvel/DC stickers he scored from me
33 - Get new 'Warrior/Sage/Heritage' tatt.

Come to think of it.... there's not really 50 things I want to do. Or not that comes to mind at the moment. 

I'm sure this list will change over time, but hey.... it's a start.
